Bio-Pure® package wastewater treatment
Treat wastewater where you build.
Factory-built, above-ground treatment systems that turn sewage into reclaimed water on site. No sewer main, no drain field, and a fraction of the land a conventional plant needs.
High volume · small footprint
The same flow on a fraction of the land.
A conventional plant treating 50,000 gallons a day takes 3 to 5 acres. A Bio-Pure system treats the same flow on about 5,000 square feet, which leaves the rest of the site for homes, businesses and open space.
- Install
- Containerized, skid-mounted or mobile. Indoors or outdoors, above or below ground.
- Deploy
- Delivered factory-built, with no complex municipal hookup required.
- Scale
- Modular units add capacity as a project grows, with redundancy built in.
The technology
An activated-sludge batch process, built into a box.
Bio-Pure systems use extended-aeration batch treatment. Each batch is aerated, settled and decanted in sequence, which keeps operation efficient and the effluent consistent. Compared with the flow-through systems in municipal plants, that means lower capital cost, lower operating cost and a smaller footprint.
Advanced biological treatment
Process trains that remove BOD, TSS and nutrients to meet municipal and industrial discharge limits.
Compact modular units
Factory-built, skid-mounted and tank-based systems for tight sites and phased growth.
Smart monitoring and control
Integrated controls, remote monitoring and data logging give real-time visibility into flow, loading and performance.
Reclaimed water
Treated water for landscape and agricultural irrigation, water features, surface-water volume and firefighting reserves.
Systems
Three standard sizes. Custom designs beyond.
Every system is engineered for its site. These are the standard starting points; full specifications are available on request.
- Delivered skid-mounted or in a Conex-type container, or assembled on site
- A 10' × 40' container can serve a 100-unit hotel or a 20-unit residential development
- High-efficiency modular configuration
- About 5,000 sq ft, versus 3 to 5 acres for a conventional plant
- Designed to reduce lifecycle cost
- Scalable architecture for large developments
- Built for long-term operating savings
Systems are available to purchase or through a Private Utility District (PUD) model, with customizable designs, remote monitoring and a record of regulatory acceptance.
Applications
Built for the places sewer can't reach.
Rural and off-grid development
Residential subdivisions, RV parks, campgrounds and resorts without municipal sewer.
Where septic is prohibited
Non-percolating soils such as lava rock and heavy clay, and sites close to shorelines.
Master-planned and multifamily
Decentralized treatment that cuts infrastructure cost and fits private-utility business models.
Temporary and emergency
Worker camps, military camps, disaster recovery sites, emergency housing and refugee camps.
Marine
Offshore platforms and ocean-going vessels, protecting the marine environment.
Waterfront: Coastal Saver
Compact systems for high-value shoreline property where sewer access is lacking.
Unlocking prime real estate
The most valuable land is often the hardest to build on.
Lakefront and coastal land carries the highest premiums, yet septic rules and environmental setbacks can leave it undevelopable. Bio-Pure removes the need for a septic drain field, which can open restricted waterfront to resorts and higher-density communities.
The guiding idea is simple: the less infrastructure, the better.
